• Combat deaths are highest for men because the military is a boy’s club that is extremely unfriendly and unsafe to women. Women who do join the military don’t have the same respect or opportunities as men.
• Men are homicide victims mostly due conflict over drugs and territory. Men also commit about 90% of all homicides, but I don’t see you flocking to that statistic.
• Overall, men tend to work in more risky and physically-intense work environments than women do. This is primarily due to socialization, and again, these jobs are pretty women-unfriendly. 
• Men are more likely to succeed with suicide attempts as they use more severe methods, including hangings and guns. Women are four times as likely to attempt suicide, but don’t succeed as often because they use methods like overdose.
• Custody is determined by more than just gender, it includes factors like safety, distance, capability for care, time, etc. For the most part, courts will give 50/50 unless there is a reason not to. Most men balk at paying child support, despite the fact that child support rarely covers the economic costs of a child.
